Apocalypse - Mionel

A (probably silly) question crashed on my mind while I was re-watching Apocalypse (SV, season 7).
It's about a sentence Clark said: "This planet will be better off if I never existed"
The episode showed that the world would be really different without Clark...
AND mionel never existed, they never met!
Obviuosly I can't accept that...
So I thought that we could talk together about that and find a way to have Mionel even without Clark.
I thought to write a fanfic about that, but I won't, I guess... It would be impossible

The question is:

If you think mionel would exist without Clark, how would they meet? What about Jonathan?

Let's talk together... and unleash our fantasy!

Firstly, let me say....I never knew that mionel wouldn't have exsisted in Apocalypse.....so I learnt something new today, thanks.

Let me think more about this, I am watching season 7 on DVD at the moment, I am in the middle of the season and I think I'm nearly up to that episode, so I'll watch it (when I get up to it) and I'll get back to you.

But I was just thinking this.......

Without the 1987 meteor shower with Clark's arrival, and Lionel asking the Kents to help him with Lex.....Martha and Lionel wouldn't have met, so I guess the meteor shower was their fate to meet.

It's all I could come up with so far.

I'm sure when I watch Apoocalypse, my imagination will just run wild!! I have a very creative mind.

Well... I've already tried to write about Mionel without Clark... but it was because I wrote about them BEFORE the meteor shower... so, let's think about it a while... .. .


Instead that they hadn't met on the meteor shower, Martha would still working and helping in Smallville, so she would still having to meet Lex Luthor (who we already know that without Clark is in a wheelchair), so it's absolutely possible that in one meeting she would find Lionel there... and they could speak and he could offer her the job!!! 'Cause without Clark's help in the farm the Kent's economique problems would be worst... so they would really need the money... .. . And, well... we already know how Martha working for Lionel consequences are... the question would be... alright Clark isn't here, but... would the Kents have adopted any other child? Adoptions are expensive... and they haven't any money... .. . The fact of non been able to be a mother can get Martha bored of her marriage with Jonathan... .. . so she could not resist to Lionel temptation... .. .
Alright... I would leave it here... .. . I really love the idea of writte a fic about this... .. . but it would be really weird write about Martha without Clark... .. . Maybe I try it... .. . I'm not sure

Your ideas are really good, Saeshmea and I can say I hoped yours was also writers' POV.

Instead according to the Apocalypse episode, Clark Kent would not exist BUT there's another Clark Kent because Jonathan and Martha adopted another son and gave him the same name.

More, about Lionel, there was a big news, you can read by yourself it's easier (It's a part of the script):

Lex: He was following my orders. You disappoint me, Kara. With everything my family's done for you, to question my judgment.
Kara: It's only because I care about you.
Lex: Since the day my father found your ship submerged in the Reeves Dam, he loved you like you were his own daughter. He died guarding your secret from the world.
Kara: I know, and I owe my life to both of you, but this country --
Lex: What do you know about protecting this country? You're an alien.

So...basically Lionel found the ship of Kara (Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin) and grew her and died to protect her...

So I guess there had been a meteor shower for 2 reason:

• Lex is bald and he is bald because of the meteor shower

• There's Kryptonite on the Earth, because he's wearing a black glove. In the comics he wear a black glove to hide his prosthetic hand, that's why he had to amputate his hand because he got cancer (if I remember well) there because of his Kryptonite ring's radiation and anyway he shot to Clark and Kara with bullets made using kryptonite.

So IF there was a meteor shower and IF Lionel found Kara in that moment, what if Lionel met Martha (maybe without Jonathan ) and asked her to help him with the blonde girl, Kara? lol

Still I guess your idea, Saeshmea, was better!

BUT Lex wouldn't be in a wheelchair w/o Clark (I think you confused with the LABYRINTH episode), Lex would be in a wheelchair if Clark was just human but convinced to have super powers... (I remember that scene because it's my fav Clex scene, really kudos to MR because he beautifully played that scene)

You're right... I haven't seen the full seven season and I confused a little Apocalypse and Labyrinth
And my idea weren't better... you're one about Lionel asking Martha to help him to take care of Kara sounds so lovely... .. . but if it's difficult to imagine a Martha Kent without Clark, it's more difficult to imagine her without Jonathan... .. . just because without him she would have never left the city, so she would now be the best lawyer of Metropolis... .. OH MY GOD!!!! Can you imagine that?! Ok, I've just have this idea writting this, but... imagine Martha being Lionel's lawyer!!! That would be wonderful!!!! Ok... i'm becomming a little crazy now... .. . well... I'll leave it here

OH, THAT'S RIGHT!!! I forgot that Martha not leaving the city, that her father would have the job that he always wanted for his daughter, being a lawyer! How could I be so stupid!

And best of all, being Lionel's lawyer! I would like to see that fic, the idea that you have. BTW I haven't watched Apocalypse yet, but I will.
